Simpson Strong-Tie HUC hangers are the concealed flange version of the HU joist hanger. Concealed flange hangers have the face flanges turned in. The Strong-Tie HUC28-2Z concealed flange hanger features a G185 ZMAX galvanized finish for added corrosion resistance and requires the use of hot-dip galvanized fasteners which meet the specifications of ASTM A153. Most models have triangle and round holes. To achieve maximum loads, fill both round and triangle holes with common nails.
